Contradictions

Consider them, which should we follow?

Absence makes the heart grow fonder
Out of sight, out of mind

Many hands make light work
Too many cooks spoil the broth

A job worth doing is worth doing well
If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again

Into every life a little rain must fall
It never rains but what it pours

It’s never too late
No use locking the door when the horse has bolted

Let bygones be bygones
Let the punishment fit the crime

Live for today for tomorrow never comes
Look before you leap

The darkest hour is just before dawn
The early bird catches the worm

Contradictions do not exist. Whenever you think that you are facing a contradiction, check your premises. You will find that one of them is wrong. – Ayn Rand
